What is SAP Sales and Distribution
(SAP SD)?

SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) is one of the most used modules in the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning Suite . It refers to the sales and distribution of products and services in companies. SAP enables SD companies to organize and control their marketing, sales and customer relationship management processes. SAP Sales and Distribution can be used for this in various industries, e.g. B. in retail, wholesale, in the production environment, in the logistics environment and in the service environment.

SAP Sales and Distribution offers many functions that companies can use to make their sales and distribution processes more efficient. Features include but are not limited to: quote creation, order tracking, billing, delivery, shipping, warranty management, pricing, sales analysis, and more.

SAP SD also supports the automation of processes. This facilitates customer management, efficiency and profitability, thereby reducing costs. At the same time, the quality of customer satisfaction increases as faster and more efficient processes accelerate the delivery of products and services to customers. With detailed reports on sales, the total turnover can be tracked and thus the success of the company can be measured.

SAP Sales and Distribution can be easily integrated with other modules of the SAP ERP suite, such as in Materials Management (MM) , Production planning (PP) , Maintenance (PM ), Quality management (QM) and Financial Accounting (FI) . This allows companies to simplify and standardize their sales and distribution processes.
