What is SAP SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM)?

SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) is an important business tool that helps companies to manage and optimize their relationships with suppliers. The application is based on the SAP NetWeaver Application Server. This allows companies to administer their suppliers on a single platform that is fully integrated into the existing SAP infrastructure. At its core, SAP Supplier Relationship Management offers companies a platform to manage and monitor the entire supply chain in real time - from procurement to payment.

Through process automation and centralization, SAP SRM enables a simplification of the individual work steps and, of course, a reduction in operating costs.

SAP Supplier Relationship Management includes a number of practical functions. For example, companies can use a supplier portal with which they can view and organize all information. In addition, SAP SRM enables companies to track supplier contracts to ensure that all suppliers comply with the relevant contract terms and purchasing guidelines.

The procurement processes and thus the costs can be significantly optimized through powerful analysis functions, automated process steps and the complete mapping of the business processes between companies and suppliers. The same applies to communication with suppliers, for example by automatically forwarding orders to those responsible internally.

One of the most important cost reduction tools in SAP SRM is the support of e-procurement. This allows companies to independently compare and negotiate multiple suppliers to get the best prices and quality.
